Chris MacLeod, Lawyer – Chair<\/strong><\/em>
\nChris is a Partner at Cambridge LLP. His law practice focuses on complex business litigation including cross-border dispute resolution, multi-jurisdictional litigation and private international law. He is a patient with Cystic Fibrosis and has the G551D Gene and is currently on the drug Kalydeco. He is a strong advocate for public funding of the Canadian health care system. He also was a recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee awarded by the Governor General of Canada in 2012.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ross Petty<\/strong><\/em>
\nDr. Petty is a Professor emeritus in Pediatrics at UBC and in the Division of pediatric Rheumatology at BC Children’s Hospital. Dr. Petty is the author of more than 200 original papers and book chapters, and the co-editor of the reference standard in the field, the Textbook of Pediatric Rheumatology, now in its fifth edition. Dr. Petty has received the following awards:
\n\u2022 The Ross Award of the Canadian Paediatric Society for distinguished service to children (1995)
\n\u2022 Distinguished Rheumatologist Award of the Canadian Rheumatology Association (1997)
\n\u2022 James T. Cassidy Award of the American Academy of Pediatrics for excellence in teaching and patient care (2003)
\n\u2022 Distinguished Rheumatologist Award of the American College of Rheumatology (2005)
\n\u2022 Honorary Member of the German Pediatric Society (2005)<\/p>\n

Robert R\u00e9e<\/strong><\/em>
\nRobert is a grandfather of two children with cystic fibrosis and advocate for public funding of drugs for CF. He is a former three-term president of the Vancouver and Lower Mainland Chapter of\u00a0 Cystic Fibrosis Canada and a former stakeholder member on the Medical-Scientific Advisory Committee for CF.\u00a0 In 2008 he co-chaired a working committee that led to the implementation of an expanded New Born Screening program including CF in 2011 in British Columbia. Robert received the\u00a0 Breath of Life Award from CF Canada in 2012\u00a0 in recognition of his many contributions to the fight against cystic fibrosis.<\/p>\n

Doug Anweiler<\/strong><\/em>
\nDoug leads the development of one of Nova Scotia\u2019s leading hospitality and tourism brands, the Authentic Seacoast Resorts, along with the food products brands for the Authentic Seacoast Company.<\/p>\n

Dr. Kieran McIntyre<\/strong>
\nDr. McIntyre completed training in respiratory medicine at the University of Toronto in 2007 and completed further training in cystic fibrosis and lung transplantation. His research interests include quality improvement in care delivery. He has recently published a review paper on the association between gender, age and survival in patients with Cystic Fibrosis. He continues to work full-time in the adult CF program at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
